Release 10.1A: OpenEdge Reporting:
Query/Results for UNIX
Primary rule when editing the .qc file
If you must edit a
.qcfile, back up the original .qcfile first. After that, delete the “fastload=” line, and delete the actual fastload filesresxxxxx.r.Reading the entire
.qcfile takes quite a long time. Therefore, to speed things up, Results createsresxxxxx.rfiles that containASSIGNstatements to directly load the shared variables. As soon as it reaches the fastload line, it runs these programs and ignores everything from this point on in the.qcfile.To restore the fastload line, simply enter the Administration module and then exit it. Results rewrites the
.qcfile, fixing any sequence numbers and adding the fastload line. It also rebuilds theresxxxxx.rfiles to match the.qcfile.If the checksum is different, or the version does not match, Results skips the fastload line and loads the entire
.qcfile. The.qcfile uses a separate checksum value for each database on thedatabase#=lines.
